Job summary

Novant Health Steelecroft Pediatrics in Charlotte, NC seeks a full-time Registered Nurse to lead care delivery in a pediatric ambulatory setting. The RN will triage patients, perform nurse visits, document vitals, and coordinate care with physicians using the EHR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; RN licensure required.
• If RN license is inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more and not licensed elsewhere in the last five years, complete a Board approved refresher before reinstating.
• Reinstatement must be applied for within one year of completing the refresher course.
• One year of relevant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, document vital signs, and update medical information in the EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens per clinical protocols.
• Conduct Point-of-Care Testing and document results.

What We Offer

Novant Health Steelecroft Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse!

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 7:30am-4:30pm; 1 Saturday shift each month 8:00am-12:00pm

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience working with pediatrics patients or in a medical office setting, though motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply!

What You'll Do

• Perform patient triage, complete nurse visits, and manage patient/provider communications through the electronic in-basket.


• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, and update medical information in the electronic health record (EHR).


• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens following established clinical protocols.


• Conduct Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) and accurately document test results.


• Support patient care by coordinating follow-up needs, providing patient education, and maintaining exam room readiness and clinical supplies.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  
  
  
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
