Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking an Ambulatory Registered Nurse to join the General Surgical Care team in Indiana. Responsibilities include phone triage, patient education, scheduling, prescription refills, imaging orders, and care coordination. The office is located in Anderson, Indiana.

Ideal candidates hold an Indiana RN license, have 1+ year nursing experience (surgical or outpatient preferred), and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. EPIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Indiana per NLC requirements.
• 3+ years of nursing experience or new grads with license.
• Prefer surgical experience and outpatient/medical office exposure.
• Phone triage experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; compassionate and self-directed.
• EPIC EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide ambulatory care within General Surgical Care team.
• Perform phone triage, patient education, scheduling, and care coordination.
• Assist with imaging orders and patient rooming as needed.
• Maintain professional standards and compassionate patient interactions.

The Ambulatory Registered Nurse functions as a member of the General Surgical Care team, conducting duties such as: phone triage, patient education, scheduling appointments, prescription refill, ordering imaging, care coordination, rooming patients and other related tasks as needed. The office is located in Anderson, Indiana.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

• Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• One year or more of nursing experience required but might consider new grads if already licensed as a registered nurse.
• Surgical experience preferred.
• Previous medical office/outpatient experience preferred.
• Phone triage experience a plus.
