Job summary

Community Eye Care Specialists in Warren, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the clinic's goal of providing high-quality eye care. The RN will perform ongoing assessment and nursing care, follow physician orders, and educate patients and families.

The ideal candidate will have an active RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and recent Pre‑op/PACU experience, with strong teamwork and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where work will be conducted.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Current Pre‑op/PACU experience (within past 2 years).
• Ability to assess, prioritize, plan, and implement direct patient care.
• Demonstrates coordination, communication, and continuity of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Observing facility policies, procedures, and processes.
• Preparing patients for planned procedures.
• Obtaining patient medical history, medications, allergies, and reactions.
• Carrying out physician’s orders.
• Monitoring patient condition and escalating concerns as needed.
• Communicating with patient and care team effectively.
• Relaying information to appropriate personnel regarding a patient’s condition.
• Educating patients including discharge instructions.
• Administering medications per physician order.
• Documenting care accurately.
• Supervising non‑licensed personnel as assigned.
• Maintaining supplies and medication.
• Assisting with procedures and records maintenance.
• Ensuring infection control practices and patient privacy.
