Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Montana is seeking a compassionate RN for a direct patient care role in a Critical Access Hospital serving all ages across Medical, Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, ER, ICU, Transitional Care, and Behavioral Health. You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer meds, monitor status, and communicate with families and team.

Nights, weekends, holidays and on-call may be required. Current Montana RN license or compact license and BLS; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP encouraged

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN license, or a compact license.
• Prevous licensed nursing experience is preferred.
• Required Certifications: Current BLS certification.
• Recommended Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP (can be obtained after hire).

Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient assessments across physical, psychosocial, ethnic, cultural and spiritual needs.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans with patient and care team.
• Administer medications and treatments; provide patient education.
• Monitor patient status; identify changes; respond to emergencies (rapid response, Code Blue).
• Delegate tasks and supervise nonprofessional staff.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families and healthcare team.

Seeking a compassionate and skilled RN for a direct patient care role in a Critical Access Hospital. The position serves a diverse patient population of all ages across various units, including Medical, Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, ER, ICU, Transitional Care, and Behavioral Health.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, ethnic, cultural, and spiritual needs.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the patient and care team.

• Administer medications and treatments, and provide patient education.

• Monitor patient status, identify significant changes, and respond quickly to emergencies (e.g., rapid response, Code Blue).

• Delegate tasks and supervise nonprofessional staff.

• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards, including infection control.

• Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

• Complete shift duties efficiently and provide accurate patient reports.

• Participate in peer review and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Montana RN license, or a compact license.

• Previous licensed nursing experience is preferred.

• Required Certifications: Current BLS certification.

• Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Physical: Ability to perform CPR, lift up to 50 pounds, and withstand physical/emotional stress. The role requires prolonged periods of walking, standing, and bending.

Additional Information

• RNs with demonstrated clinical leadership skills may be assigned Charge Nurse duties.

• The role may require working nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
