Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and deliver professional nursing care for patients, following physician orders and established guidelines, and within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The incumbent will collaborate with physicians and care teams, ensure patient safety, document care accurately, and participate in unit-based quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.
• BSN degree preferred; two years RN experience; ACLS/PALS/NRP or other certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients following physician orders and guidelines.
• Complies with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
