Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and guidelines. The RN will manage care for an assigned group, reflecting collaboration and empowerment values, with a night shift from 7p to 7a and weekend work as required.

Candidates must have a BSN, hold a GA RN license in good standing, and be BLS certified.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. Additionally, the practice of all professional nurses at Northside Hospital reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
