CoxHealth’s 700 West Medical Oncology unit in Springfield, MO is hiring a Registered Nurse to manage care for medical and surgical oncology patients. The nurse will assess conditions, administer medications, monitor vitals, document care, and educate patients and families.

Orientation and ongoing education are provided to maintain best practice guidelines. Qualifications include MO RN license, BLS within 90 days, graduation from an accredited nursing program, with BSN preferred.

Qualifikationen

• RN license active in Missouri.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Previous nursing experience preferred.

Job Description:

Overview of Unit/Department

700 West Medical Oncology is an inviting and welcoming unit for both patients and staff. We are a 17-room, mostly private bed, unit. Our nursing staff is highly skilled in caring for oncology, end-of-life, and medical-surgical patients. Registered Nurses administer chemotherapy, assist in symptom management of cancer and other illnesses, provide end-of-life care, and perform many other nursing skills to care for patients. RNs work closely with other medical disciplines to provide excellent patient care and outcomes. Our unit is equipped with the latest technology, including the new virtual nursing program. We have an excellent and active educator and nurses receive continuing education to ensure they are current with best practice guidelines.

• $1.00 Certification pay
• $1.00 BSN pay
• Career Ladder Bonus eligible up to $5,000.00

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.

Education:

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience:

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience
