Job summary

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient and family-centered care in the Blood Marrow Transplant unit. The RN will apply evidence-based practice and adapt care for all ages, from neonates to geriatrics, in a collaborative, high-quality environment.

The role requires an active Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS, and an Associate degree (BSN preferred); progression toward BSN is supported for RNs with an Associate degree. EOE.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license required.
• Seven months of RN experience in Blood Marrow Transplant.
• Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.
• RNs hired with an Associate degree will have 3 years from their date of hire to complete the BSN degree.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Certification in area of practice preferred.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Baptist Health South Florida is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing evidence based practice standards of quality, safety and service. The RN ensures quality and appropriateness of care for all age groups in the unit specific patient population in include neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The Registered Nurse (RN) demonstrates an ability to incorporate knowledge of patient’s age, growth and developmental level into the provision of care.
