Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4 South Telemetry unit at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering compassionate, high-quality care to the Tompkins County community.

Role involves assessing patients, developing care plans, and providing skilled clinical care with documentation and accountability within a shared governance framework. On-site, full-time, 3x12-hour shifts with weekends and holidays as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Active New York State RN license required.
• BLS required during introductory period; ACLS completed by end of Orientation.
• BSN preferred.

• Conducts comprehensive patient and family assessments and develops person-centered care plans to meet complex and changing needs.
• Provides skilled, high-quality clinical care while staying current with policies, procedures, and professional standards.
• Uses critical thinking to make sound clinical decisions, evaluate outcomes, address concerns, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Applies evidence-based practice and demonstrates accountability within the care team and healthcare system.
• Serves as a trusted clinical resource, mentor, and leader in supporting staff development and patient care excellence.

Registered Nurse - 4 South Telemetry Registered Nurses at Centralus are key members of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to the Tompkins County community. Practicing to the full scope of their license, RNs actively contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services, collaborating with colleagues in a shared governance environment to improve patient outcomes and deliver optimal patient-centered care.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conducts comprehensive patient and family assessments and develops person-centered care plans to meet complex and changing needs.
• Provides skilled, high-quality clinical care while staying current with policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

Physical Requirements:

Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.

Pay Range Disclosure:

Standard Rate of $38.63 - $47.18 per hour plus benefits
