Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our patient care team. This non-exempt, full-time role supports direct nursing care on a 7a-7p schedule with a 12-hour shift structure and a four-shift mix.

The position emphasizes nursing process delivery, patient assessment and discharge planning, with emphasis on collaboration across care teams. Massachusetts licensure and BLS are required; a BSN is preferred, with a signing bonus possible.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient's care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.

• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.

Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.


• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless advance cardiac life support (ACLS) certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.
