Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. in Connecticut seeks a Registered Nurse to provide high quality patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will coordinate with the interdisciplinary team and communicate changes in patient condition to ensure timely responses.

The role requires CT RN licensure, ACLS/BLS certification by hire or during orientation, and NCLEX within 90 days of graduation. Shift involves nights, with every other weekend/holiday.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with CT license.
• ACLS and BLS required on hire or within orientation period.
• NCLEX must be passed within 90 days of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient-centered care.
• Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

POSITION SUMMARY

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care.

Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served.

Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment.Graduate Nurses: Must pass NCLEX 90 days from graduation date.

COMPETENCIES
