Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care using the nursing process for patients of all ages. The role requires assessment, planning, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to Nyack Hospital's care standards.

The RN will work a day shift with a rotating schedule, 7 AM to 7 PM, and 11.5 total hours per shift during a 37.5-hour pay period, with compensation listed as an hourly rate plus potential shift

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required or Bachelor Degree preferred.
• On Call required for the following areas: OR, PACU, and Cath Lab
• National Certification in area of practice preferred.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable to unit requirements

Job Summary The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for managing, delegating, coordinating and providing nursing care through utilization of the nursing process. The above is accomplished with the utilization of effective communication skills with patients, significant others and members of the multidisciplinary health care team. Within the scope of practice assumes responsibility, as necessary, for the assessment, treatment and care of patients of all ages (neonate to geriatric). Displays an understanding of the developmental needs of the patient when planning and implementing treatment. Displays competency in obtaining information and interpreting the patient's behavior based upon an understanding of the patients cognitive, biopsychosocial and religious cultural aging processes. The Registered Nurse is accountable for maintaining his/her clinical competence in reaching the defined standards of care for the area of nursing practice.
