Job summary

WesleyCare - Pediatrics, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in Wichita on a full-time, day-shift schedule. No nights, no on-call, no weekends or holidays.

You will provide clinical care, greet patients, prepare exam rooms, administer medications as ordered, and educate patients and families. Licensure and 1-3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required
• 1-3 years of experience as a registered nurse is preferred
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations

Responsibilities

• Maintaining an orderly, efficient, and timely flow of patients.
• Greeting patients and preparing them for physician’s examination.
• Providing general nursing care to patients as necessary for office treatment.
• Screening patients for appropriate information.
• Instructing patients in collection of samples and tests.
• Arranging for patient testing and admissions.
• Checking rooms daily for necessary supplies.
• Responding to and referring incoming telephone calls.
• Instructing patients and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintaining and reviewing patients’ records and other pertinent information.
• Posting tests and examination results.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Administering medications in accordance with physician orders.
• Maintaining current knowledge to assure a safe working environment and demonstrating practical application of all policies and procedures relative to safety and infection control.

What Qualifications you will need

• Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required
• 1-3 years of experience as a registered nurse is preferred
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations
