TALENT Software Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Unit in a rural Oklahoma hospital. This full-time night shift (7 PM – 7 AM) requires applying the nursing process, patient care, and interdisciplinary collaboration to meet patient needs.

Relocation assistance is provided for eligible candidates; the role emphasizes safe discharge planning and quality improvement activities in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Up to six months of related experience.
• Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways.
• Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and efficiently.
• Attention to detail as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.

Job Summary

Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Unit

Type: PERM / Full-time Registered Nurse

Nights 7p-7a, 2 x12

Job Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for patients, considering patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors.
• Document steps of the nursing process using proper medical terminology, addressing problems, and progress toward goals.
• Facilitate patient discharge through timely and appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources.
• Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate and support unit/hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities.

Decision Making

• Exercise independent judgment in making decisions from diversified alternatives, subject to general review in final stages only.

Working Relationship

• Coordinate activities of others without supervising.
• Lead others in the same work performed without supervising.
• Provide input on performance evaluations but do not prepare or give them.
• Work directly with patients and/or customers, internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction, and external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and staff, frequently interacting with individuals at the Director level or above.
