Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in the Villages area is seeking a Registered Nurse to support physicians in patient care and teaching with emphasis on IV therapy and oncology familiarity.

You will work in a setting focused on safe patient care, vaccination compliance, background screening, and a drug-free workplace, with competitive wages and education benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state of residence with IV therapy experience.
• Ability to assess patient needs and condition.
• Strong critical thinking skills with calm, effective emergency response.
• Current CPR certification.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire (FCS provides BLS course).
• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication.
• Valid driver license for travel to clinics.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients preferred.

Responsibilities

The RN assists physician in the care and teaching of patients.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Residence, with experience in IV therapy.
• The ability to assess patient needs and condition.
• Strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Current CPR certification.
• BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).
• Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver license for travel to clinics.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital is preferred.
