Promises/The Ranch TN in Nunnelly, TN seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional client care in medical detoxification and residential programs. You will coordinate care with the health team and ensure nursing standards are followed.

Responsibilities include medication administration, patient assessment, and discharge processing while maintaining HIPAA and infection control standards. A current RN license and BLS/CPR are required, with 3–5 years in behavioral health preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited RN program is required.
• Current, valid RN license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fulfillment of patient medical orders and address medical concerns.
• Triage medical concerns; administer medications and injections as directed by physician.
• Monitor client self-administration of medication.
• Serve as first line in medical emergencies and collaborate with clinical team on psychiatric emergencies.
• Perform laboratory procedures from specimen collections as authorized.
• Document patient observations in records per nursing standards and policy.
• Coordinate admission/discharge processes, including pre-screening and health history collection.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.

Position Description:

The Registered Nurse provides professional, direct client care ina medicaldetoxification and residential program settingsin accordance withestablished program procedures. This position provides, delegates,coordinatesand evaluates patient care through the collaborative efforts of health team members andin accordance withthe nursing process and standards of care and practice.

Primary Duties,Responsibilities,andCompetencies

• Oversee fulfillment of patient’s medical orders, address patient medical concerns.

• Record patient observations and activities in patient records accurately andtimelyin accordance withnursing standards and organizational policy andprocedure.

• Communicate with patients, physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff.

• Oversee all aspects of admission/discharge process, including:

• Pre-screenofnew patients forappropriateness foradmission.

• Obtain physical assessment data and health history.

• Inventory and caring for patients’ personal possessions.

• Complete discharge paperwork.

• Provide quality assessments to client’s medication sheets and files todetermineif clients are receivingappropriate medicationin a timely manner, including proper destruction of medication.

• Follow all policies and procedureswith regard topatient information protection, including alcohol-drug patient confidentiality and HIPAA.

• Attend training on chemical dependency asrequired.

• Maintains and adheres toestablishedinfection control/employee healthprogram.

• Maintain anddemonstratesa current working knowledge of applicable clinical procedures and nursing care based on company policy and State and Federal guidelines.

• Maintainappropriate professionalboundaries with current clients, family members,referralssources and vendors.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diplomaor equivalent

• Completion ofaccreditedRN program,required.

• Associates or Bachelor’sdegree, preferred.

Certifications:

• Current, valid RN license.

• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Experience:

• Minimum three to five (3-5) years of experience in behavioral health or residential detoxification programsettingis preferred.
