Job summary

Taos Healthcare is a long-term care facility in New Mexico seeking a dedicated registered nurse to deliver compassionate care on assigned shifts. You will oversee patient care, mentor staff on the floor, and collaborate with physicians to achieve positive clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities include thorough charting, adherence to state and federal regulations, and contributing to resident/family satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Nursing (or foreign equivalent)
  • RN License in NM; or NCLEX; or Visa Screen certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Follows established procedures for charting and incident reporting.
  • Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
  • Documents changes in patient conditions (nutrition, infections, skin conditions, weight changes, etc.).
  • Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for patient program placement and monitoring.
  • Documents and notifies relevant departments of room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
  • Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Education

Associate's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Nursing

Job Description

Responsible for ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements. Operates within the scope of practice defined by the state Nurse Practice Act. Responsible for resident care and direction of nursing care during assigned shift; includes staff assignments, mentoring and educating nursing personnel, working with physicians and other medical professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Nursing
  • RN Licensei n NM; or NCLEX; or Visa Screen certificate.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Documents any change in patient's conditions including but not limited to nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or any other noticeable changes.
  • Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
  • Document and notify applicable departments of any patient's room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
  • Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
