Job summary

Cardiac Study Center (CSC), inc., PS in Spokane, WA, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our cardiology outpatient clinic to educate patients, assist physicians, and coordinate care. The role focuses on telephone triage, patient education, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure excellent outcomes.

The ideal candidate has a WA RN license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of nursing experience, with cardiology exposure preferred.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Washington RN license at time of hire.
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Cardiology, PCU, ICU, or ER/ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct telephone triage to assess patient needs, prioritize calls based on urgency, and respond promptly to emergent, urgent, and non-urgent inquiries.
  • Develop and deliver individualized patient education programs focused on diagnosis, procedures, and treatment plans to enhance patient understanding and care.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and the highest standards of patient care.
  • Serve as a cardiac health resource and educator for office staff and the broader community, promoting awareness and understanding.
  • Monitor and manage abnormal test results, facilitating appropriate referrals and follow-ups while maintaining meticulous documentation of all patient interactions and care provided.

Registered Nurse Cardiac Study Center/ Pulse Heart Institute, Spokane, WA Since its creation, Cardiac Study Center (CSC) has contracted with Pulse Heart Institute for outpatient cardiology and billing services.

CSC is a proud partner of Pulse Heart Institute and has provided outpatient cardiology services in the Puget Sound Region for over 50 years.

CSC partnered with MultiCare Health System to create Pulse Heart Institute in 2016 to work toward improving the health of cardiac patients.

Pulse’s standard operating procedure is to employ cardiology ambulatory and billing support staff at Cardiac Study Center.

This gives Pulse the dexterity to create roles unique to cardiac programs, which benefit our teams in their career development and resource needs in caring for our patients.

This structure allows for a more personal feel for our employees, helping them feel valued.

$7,500 Sign-On Bonus is available to qualified external candidates.

Environment and Shift details:

This role is full-time, Monday – Friday—closed weekends and holidays.

Location: In office - 910 W. 5th Ave., Suite 900, Spokane, WA 99204

Experience Must-Haves

Educational Background: Completion of an accredited nursing program.

Licensing: An active Washington Registered Nurse License at the time of hire.

Certification: National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association, obtained before starting.

Experience: Ideally, you have at least 1 year of nursing experience.

Specialized Experience: 1 year of experience in cardiology, PCU, ICU, or ER/ED

Additional Experience: 2 years of RN experience in an outpatient or hospital setting

Pay and Benefit Expectations

Cardiac Study Center/ Pulse Heart Institute provides a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off.

As various pay transparency laws require, CSC/ PHI shares a competitive compensation range for candidates hired into each position.

The starting pay for this position is $34.32, and the pay scale is $34.32 - $52.83 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, certification(s), and/or education.
