Job summary

South Carolina Health Care Association is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for in-person work in the Nursing department. This position reports to the RN Unit Manager or Director of Nursing and directly supervises LPNs and CNAs as needed.

The RN will assess residents, administer medications, participate in care planning, and ensure care aligns with physician orders and standards of practice. Current RN licensure and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Valid State licensure as an RN.
  • Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patients by physical examination and pertinent testing to determine health status.
  • Administers medications and treatments.
  • Participates in the care planning process and oversees implementation of the plan.
  • Supervises LPNs and Nursing Assistants and oversees ADLs and documentation.
  • Communicates with physicians regarding changes in resident conditions and test results.
  • Documents assessments and care per standards and policy.
  • Educates patients and families on health-related issues.
  • Completes required forms and documents per policy and regulations.

JOB SUMMARY

A Registered Nurse (RN) Assesses and evaluates the health status of resident/patient and provides care and treatment in accordance with physician orders and standards of practice.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirements
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Participates in (or conducts) company-sponsored training to safeguard against improper use and disclosure of resident's protected health information. Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and state and federal law.
