Trinity Health Oakland Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4G Medical-Surgical Overflow Unit. This 26-bed unit handles a diverse patient population with renal, respiratory and cardiac conditions, requiring advanced treatments and monitoring technologies.

The RN will manage patient care, coordinate with the care team, and participate in ongoing learning and professional growth within a supportive environment. Full-time and part-time Day/Night shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Requires current Michigan Nursing License.
• Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• BSN degree preferred or must agree to obtain BSN within five years.
• BLS certification required.

Description:

4G is a 26-bed Medical-Surgical Overflow Unit that cares for a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical conditions, including renal failure, respiratory failure, diabetes, sepsis, and heart failure. The variety of diagnoses and patient needs provides an excellent opportunity for nurses to develop and strengthen their clinical skills across multiple specialties. Caregivers on 4G may manage complex medical patients and gain experience with advanced treatments and equipment, including:

• High-flow oxygen therapy
• Enteral feeding tubes
• Foley catheters
• Peritoneal dialysis
• Telemetry monitoring

We are hiring for full-time and part-time positions on Day Shift & Night Shift for this unit (12-hour shifts with weekend & holiday commitment)

SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. The responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / LICENSURE / EXPERIENCE

• Requires current Michigan Nursing License
• Graduation from accredited nursing program
• BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years
• BLS certification required
