Job summary

BJC HealthCare seeks an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to deliver rapid, evidence-based care in our St. Louis facilities.

You will perform triage, implement provider-ordered treatments, administer medications, and closely monitor patient status while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. You will advocate for patient safety, educate patients and families, and document accurately in the EMR as part of a collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on compassionate care

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patients and determine priority levels.
• Implement provider-ordered treatments and administer medications as prescribed.
• Closely monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort while ensuring privacy and dignity.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Document accurately in the EMR and ensure timely charting of care provided.
