- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and record vital signs and medical histories
- Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and other treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals to plan and evaluate care
- Monitor and report patient status changes promptly and accurately
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety procedures (NYSDOH and Joint Commission standards)
- Participate in emergency response procedures (CPR, code situations) when necessary
- Document accurately in electronic health records (Epic, EHR, or facility-specific systems)
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required for hospital roles
- PALS or NRP – Preferred for pediatric or perinatal care areas
- RN license
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of recent experience in hospital, sub-acute, or long-term care settings
- ICU, Med/Surgical, OR, ER experience preferred
- New graduates may be considered for selected opportunities
- Competitive hourly rates between $35-$50 USD per hour (commensurate with experience)
- Working hours - 32 to 48 hours
- Shift differentials for nights, weekends, and holidays
