Job summary

DM Clinical Research seeks a Pharmacy Technician to join our team as an Unblinded CRC. You will dispense IP per protocol, measure vitals, collect specimens, and administer injections while monitoring for adverse reactions.

You’ll run EKGs, audit data, and ensure IP accountability and proper storage, coordinating with PI, sponsor, and study staff. The role requires at least an Associates degree or 2 years of related coursework, plus 2+ years in clinical research and Pharmacy Technician

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required or 2 years of formal educational coursework.
• Bachelor's degree, preferred.
• Secondary or Foreign Medical Graduate, preferred.
• 2+ years of Clinical Research experience, inclusive of in-clinic experience, required.
• 1+ year of Clinical Research Coordinator experience, Blinded or Unblinded, required.
• 1+ year utilizing CRIO, preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification, preferred.
• Completion of DMCR-required training, including GCP, OSHA and IATA.

Responsibilities

• Dispense Investigational Products (IP) as per sponsor-approved protocol.
• Measure vital signs and document medical histories.
• Collect blood, urine, and other specimens for testing.
• Administer injections or vaccines and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Provide consultative support regarding preparation and dosing of drugs.
• Run routine tests like EKGs.
• Supervise and maintain records of all medications.
• Audit clinical data for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain IP accountability: receipt, dispensing, return to sponsor/destruction.
• Ensure proper storage of IP and bioretention samples; report temperatures.
• Interact with PI, sponsor, study manager, and other coordinators on protocol requirements.

This individual will be responsible for dispensing Investigational Products (IP) as part of clinical research trials.Duties & Responsibilities:Compound and dispense prescribed IP as needed by Sponsor approved protocolMeasure vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight) and document medical histories.Collect blood (phlebotomy), urine, and other specimens for testing.Administer injections or vaccines, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.Provide consultative support regarding the preparation and dosing of drugsRun routine tests like EKGs (electrocardiograms).Supervise and maintain records of all medicationsPerform regular audits on the clinical data to assess percent completeness and accuracyEnsure external sites’ regulatory documents and required site certifications are up to dateMaintain documentation of IP accountability: receipt, dispensing, return to sponsor/destructionEnsure receipt and proper storage of IP and bioretention samples, including temperature reportingInteract with Principal Investigator, sponsor, study manager and other study coordinators to ensure all aspects of protocols and study requirements are understood.KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEEducation:Associates Degree required or 2 years of formal educational courseworkBachelor's degree, preferredSecondary or Foreign Medical Graduate, preferredExperience:2+ years of Clinical Research experience, inclusive of in-clinic experience, required1+ year of Clinical Research Coordinator experience, Blinded or Unblinded, required1+ year utilizing CRIO, preferredCredentials:LPN (Licensed Professional Nurse) or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), preferredPharmacy Technician Certification, preferredCompletion of DMCR-required training, including GCP, OSHA and IATAKnowledge and Skills:Computer proficiency, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Suite products.Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbalExcellent time-management skillsBilingual (Spanish) preferred
