Nurse Next Door - Manteca is seeking a Registered Nurse responsible for providing home health clinical services, ensuring quality and adequacy of care. The role includes evaluating client needs and implementing plans of care while collaborating with medical disciplines.
The ideal candidate holds a California nursing license and has two to three years of clinical experience, preferably in home care. Certifications in wound care and IV therapy are advantageous. We offer a supportive work environment with flexible scheduling.
The Registered Nurse reports to the Director of Patient Care Services and/or Administrator and is responsible for providing home health clinical services. The registered nurse is responsible for quality, adequacy of services provided, and may, where required, supervise staff. The registered nurse is responsible for ensuring that care is delivered appropriately and the standards of quality are adhered to.
The registered nurse works with other medical disciplines (PT, OT, ST) to ensure coordinated services and that all of the client’s needs are identified through the assessment process, addressed through implementation of the Plan of Care, and re-evaluated through the supervisory process.
Environment: Contact with clients under a wide variety of circumstances. Care provided in client’s living environment with varying situations or in an institution such as a hospital. May be required to respond to emergency situations. Travel required. Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues.
Personal Protective Equipment: May include gloves, mask, eye/face protection, and disposable outer covering or lab coat.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the ability of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Visual and hearing acuity required.
