Job summary

StrideCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support Interventional Radiology and Vascular procedures in Maryland. The role involves preparing patients, monitoring vital signs, administering medications including moderate sedation, and ensuring patient safety throughout the procedure.

The nurse will liaise between patients, healthcare providers, and families, providing education and post-procedure monitoring as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN required.
• Two years of moderate sedation administration and recovery.
• Two years in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab preferred.
• Current nursing license in the location.
• Minimum six months as a professional nurse.
• ACLS/BLS certification required.
• Experience in Pre-Op/PACU, CV and ICU preferred.
• Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures, including checking vital signs
• Analyze lab results and medical history
• Provide education to the patient and family members
• Insert and remove IV lines
• Administer drugs, including moderate sedation

Job Summary: The primary duty of the Registered Nurse is to monitor and care for the patient during Interventional Radiology and Vascular procedures. The nurse also liaises between the patient, healthcare providers, and family. The nurse is to be familiar with the overall function(s) of the Interventional Radiology and Vascular specialty.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises care given by nonprofessional staff and provides instruction as needed.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for procedures, including checking vital signs
• Analyze lab results and medical history
• Provide education to the patient and family members
• Insert and remove IV lines
• Administer drugs, including moderate sedation
• Monitor patient patterns and vital signs during the procedure
• Oversee the safety and comfort of patients
• Provide post-procedure monitoring
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

• Current license to practice nursing in the current location state.
• Minimum of six months of recent experience as a professional nurse.
• ACLS/BLS required.
• Experience in Pre-Op/PACU, CV, and ICU preferred.
• Experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab preferred.
