The RN inpatient Nurse assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records. The inpatient Registered Nurse administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. The RN may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. The inpatient RN maintains accurate, detailed reports and records, administers medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects, and monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
