About the Company
We at Pine Rest believe in the power of healing and that everyone in our community has the right to expert care for mental health and substance use disorders. We are more than just the third largest non-profit behavioral health system in the country, with a 220-acre main campus and a network of clinical sites across Michigan. Our community of healers witnesses the impact of our work daily as we close access gaps and innovate through research, programs, and treatment modalities that are replicated nationwide. Our services include psychiatric urgent care, a pediatric behavioral health center opening in 2026, outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization, assessment and testing, residential, addiction treatment, and specialized services such as crisis response, employee assistance programs, forensic psychiatry and psychology, and neuromodulation. We also offer on-the-job educational programs for nurses, psychologists, advanced practice providers, psychiatrists, and chaplains, preparing the next generation of care providers.
About The Unit
We are launching a 4-bed pilot program within our Child and Adolescent Unit, focused on inpatient care for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability. This program will lay the groundwork for a future 10-bed unit at Pine Rest's Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health, opening in March 2026. The average patient stay is approximately 25 days. The program emphasizes reducing challenging behaviors using a behavior analytic approach and closely monitored behavioral data, with family and caregiver training as core components. You will join a collaborative team of psychiatrists, behavior analysts, therapists, social workers, and technicians dedicated to helping patients develop skills for successful reintegration into their homes, schools, and communities.
What Will You Do?
As a Registered Nurse at Pine Rest, you will be part of a dedicated team that values your expertise and compassion. RNs are responsible for performing the nursing process to deliver patient care, providing guidance and oversight to licensed and non-licensed staff. Our RNs demonstrate compassion, integrity, stewardship, and a commitment to diversity and professional excellence. They are motivated by the positive impact they see daily and foster a welcoming, empowering environment for colleagues and patients alike.
