Endeavor Health's Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Postpartum unit on the night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) for a full-time role. You will develop and implement care plans, collaborate with physicians and the care team, and ensure safe, evidence-based patient outcomes.

The position requires an IL RN license, a NLN-accredited nursing program, BLS/CPR certification, and at least 2 years of postpartum or acute care experience.

Qualifications

• License: IL RN required.
• Education: NLN-accredited program; BSN preferred.
• Certification: BLS/CPR from American Heart Association.
• Experience: 2 years postpartum or acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care to achieve expected outcomes.

The Registered Nurse will collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. **What you will do:*** Develops a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes. Evaluates patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes, systematically revises diagnosis, interventions and expected outcomes as needed.* Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers. .* Communicates plan of care to patient and family regularly respecting the patient’s wishes through acknowledgment of patient/family perceptions of health and illness and mutual goal setting for optimal outcomes. Provides teaching on disease management strategies, emergency care and drug information when appropriate. Identifies community resources to support patient self-management of disease.* Interacts with and contributes to professional development of peers, students and other health care providers as colleagues. Shares knowledge, provides feedback and contributes to an environment supportive of clinical education. Assigns or delegates tasks as needed.* Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support* Provide assistance to technical staff with injection of contrast, venipuncture, and administration of drugs, 02 therapy, and IV management.* Participates in performance improvement activities and nursing research. Keeps abreast of research and practice trends in wound/ostomy/skin care through participation in professional networking, ongoing education, and self-directed learning activities. Supports staff in using research and providing evidence-based care* If skilled, conducts daily rounds of wound/ostomy/skin care patients.
