Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one homecare nursing for an 19-year-old male patient in East Dubuque, Illinois. The role involves care for a patient with a G-tube, trach, and PRN ventilator support, following a detailed plan of care to ensure high-quality patient-centered outcomes.

Shifts include Monday–Friday evenings (3:00 PM – 9:00 PM) with flexible scheduling and weekend opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license is required.
• Current Health Certificate per state requirements.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Initiate and follow the established plan of care, requesting revisions as patient needs change.
• Provide therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing interventions.
• Monitor patient condition and report significant changes to the physician or supervisor.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and document patient response.
• Support teaching, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning as appropriate.
