Job summary

Renewal Falls Recovery Center in Cedar Falls, IA, is opening a premier substance use disorder treatment center and seeks compassionate Registered Nurses to join the founding clinical team.

You will provide patient-centered nursing care, participate in assessment, medication administration, and discharge planning, and collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to build a best-in-class program focused on dignity and lasting recovery.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments upon admission and throughout treatment.
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with provider orders.
• Monitor patients during detoxification and throughout residential treatment.
• Assess and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, behavioral health technicians, and case management staff.
• Provide patient education regarding medications, recovery, wellness, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and crisis situations.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, state regulations, and company policies.
• Promote a safe, therapeutic, trauma-informed environment for patients and staff.

Renewal Falls Recovery Center, in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services, provides evidence-based treatment for individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our mission is to empower individuals on their journey to lasting recovery through compassionate, individualized care delivered by exceptional professionals.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in detoxification, behavioral health, addiction medicine, emergency nursing, medical-surgical nursing, or critical care
• Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
• Experience working with individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring disorders
