Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for Southern Regional Jail in Beaver, WV. In this PRN role, you will assess needs, administer medications, and collaborate with correctional staff to ensure safe, quality care.

You will lead, teach, and advocate for patients, provide education, refer when appropriate, and help maintain high standards of safety and compassionate care every shift. Active license and CPR required; 1–2 years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted RN license in state of practice and 1-2 years of nursing experience (correctional experience preferred).
• Active CPR certification.
• Strong clinical and communication skills; adaptability in high-pressure settings.
• A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead, teach, and advocate for patients within the facility.
• Assess physical and mental health needs and administer medications.
• Guide treatment plans from start to finish and provide patient education.

You'll play a key role in supporting patient education, making timely referrals, and helping maintain safety and standards across the unit.
