Job summary

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long term care.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Responsibilities

  • Administers enteral feedings along with oral, injectable, and intravenous medications and treatments within the LVN scope of practice as prescribed by the physician and per facility policy
  • Ensures delivery of care to residents by nursing assistants within established time frames according to Resident Care policies and procedures
  • Performs and is co-responsible for narcotic counts as per Resident Care policies and procedures
  • Ensures dispensing of medications and treatments by all routes as ordered by the physician within established time frames
  • Documents medication and treatment administration in a timely and accurate manner
  • Completes/updates the Electronic documentation as required
  • Maintains and updates Nursing license in compliance with state regulations
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested

Position Summary
Responsible for maintaining the standards of nursing care and practices within the facility to meet the physical, psychosocial, and rehabilitative needs of the residents. Hiring for all shifts!

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Administers enteral feedings along with oral, injectable, and intravenous medications and treatments within the LVN scope of practice as prescribed by the physician and per facility policy
  • Ensures all aspects of delivery of care to residents by nursing assistants are completed within the established time frames according to Resident Care policies and procedures
  • Performs and is co-responsible for narcotic counts as per Resident Care policies and procedures
  • Ensures dispensing of medications and treatments by all routes as ordered by the physician within established time frames. Ensures no medications are left unattended
  • Documents medication and treatment administration in a timely and accurate manner
  • Completes/updates the Electronic documentation as required
  • Maintains and updates Nursing license in compliance with state regulations
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
  • College degree or the equivalent in work related experience
  • Must be graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing
  • Must have active state RN license
  • Must be listed in good standing as confirmed on Nurse Registry
  • Strong knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long term care is strongly preferred
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English

This job operates in a professional office environment with minimal exposure to dust, chemicals or noise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
