Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Registered Nights RN IMCU to influence patient care through collaboration with managers and involvement in nursing initiatives.

The role focuses on coordinating high-quality care, advocating for patients, and contributing to an exceptional patient experience within the Progressive Care unit.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas is required or in process.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document care in the patient medical record promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical care equipment.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dat
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
• 1 year RN experience in an acute care setting
