Serve with Integrity. Care with Purpose. Grow with Legacy.

At Legacy Senior Living, we believe that every resident deserves exceptional care delivered with honor, faith, and compassion. As a Registered Medication Assistant, you play a crucial role in promoting wellness, ensuring safety, and building trust through accurate and attentive medication administration.

This isn’t just about dispensing medications—it’s about protecting dignity, nurturing independence, and creating peace of mind for every resident you serve.

Your Role in the Legacy Mission

As a Registered Medication Assistant, you’ll be a vital link between residents, families, and our wellness team. You’ll ensure that medications and treatments are administered safely, accurately, and compassionately, helping residents maintain their health and well‑being while honoring their choices and stories.

Through your attention to detail and care, you’ll embody Legacy’s mission: to serve seniors with honor, respect, faith, and integrity.

What You’ll Do
Medication Administration

Follow the six rights of medication administration—right resident, right drug, right dosage, right time, right route, and right documentation—every single time.

Verify the six rights three times: when removing the medication, immediately before administration, and immediately after.

Administer or assist with medications according to each resident’s Medication Administration Record (MAR) while maintaining confidentiality and resident dignity.

Document all medication actions clearly and accurately, including doses given, held, refused, or discontinued.

Maintain a clean, organized medication cart/cabinet and ensure it is stocked as needed.

Provide resident treatments and follow individual service plans as directed.

Report any medication errors or concerns honestly and immediately in accordance with policy.

Resident Services

Deliver compassionate, individualized care aligned with Legacy’s philosophy and resident rights.

Support residents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual well‑being.

Promote resident independence while ensuring safety and respect for personal choice.

Explain each medication and its purpose to residents before administration.

Observe and promptly report any adverse reactions or changes in condition to the Wellness Nurse or supervisor.

Adhere to infection control and OSHA regulations, including safe waste disposal.

Respond calmly and effectively to resident calls and emergencies.

Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.

Communication & Teamwork

Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions.

Communicate changes in residents’ conditions, medication refusals, or concerns to the Wellness Nurse promptly.

Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Seek guidance from supervisors or licensed staff whenever questions arise about medications or treatments.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications.
