Job summary

Shalom Parkside Senior Living in Richmond, VA is seeking a part-time Registered Medication Aide (RMA) to administer medications, monitor residents, and assist with daily living activities in a caring, community-focused environment.

The role requires an active VA RMA certification, prior senior living experience, and strong communication and teamwork skills to support residents’ independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Medication Aide (RMA) certification in the State of VA.
• Prior experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Senior Living preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, reliable, and resident-focused.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications in accordance with state regulations and facility policy.
• Observe residents for side effects, changes in condition, or unusual reactions and report promptly to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with personal care and daily activities as needed.
• Support residents’ emotional and social well-being through compassionate interactions.
• Maintain accurate medication records and uphold confidentiality.
• Promote safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming community atmosphere.

Location: Shalom Parkside Senior Living - Richmond, VA
Schedule: Part Time (7-3 & 11-7), Every Other Weekend (3-11)

Pay Rate: $18.50-$21.15/hr (based on experience, shift differentials may apply)

Position Summary

The Registered Medication Aide is responsible for safely and accurately administering medications, monitoring residents, and assisting with daily living activities as needed — all while maintaining a positive and supportive environment.

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
