Job summary

Salvo Health seeks a licensed RD/RDN to join our multidisciplinary care team, focusing on GI and metabolic health from IBS to obesity. You will develop nutrition plans rooted in evidence and support patients through app-based, remote care.

Based in the USA, you will collaborate with gastroenterologists, nurses, dietitians, and therapists, delivering lifestyle-change guidance via synchronous and asynchronous channels, while upholding clinical protocols and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed RD/RDN credential required.
• Experience communicating with patients asynchronously preferred.
• Experience providing nutrition care for GI conditions (IBS, IBD, SIBO) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nutrition care centered on lifestyle change management (nutrition, movement, stress, sleep, behavioral change).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RDs, nurses, LCSWs, medical assistants, and gastroenterologists.
• Support patients with synchronous and asynchronous care following evidence-based guidelines.
• Adhere to clinical protocols and best practices.

Job description

Salvo Health is taking a new approach to help millions of Americans facing chronic health conditions, centered on chronic gut health and metabolic conditions from IBS to obesity. Our patients are assigned a “whole patient” care team and have seven day a week access to app-based care, using Remote Patient Monitoring (“RPM”) to bill under the patient’s insurance. This is a major step forward to go beyond episodic appointments to continuous care at home, and deliver interdisciplinary wraparound care in partnership with the patient’s existing local doctor. Salvo is backed by leading health care investors from innovators like Livongo, Ro, Ginger, Brightline, Tia, and others. Salvo care draws on expertise from Board-certified specialty physicians, registered dietitians, nurses, psychologists, and therapists who have developed our evidence-based protocols, for a personalized, multi-month journey to better health. Salvo is the first to bring a scalable and tech-enabled, more integrative approach to these chronic conditions, going beyond treating only the symptoms in order to identify and address the root causes of chronic illness.

What You Will Do

• Deliver exceptional care centered around the core pillars of lifestyle change management (nutrition, movement, stress management, sleep, behavioral change) and rooted in evidence-based counseling
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including fellow registered dietitians, licensed nurses, LCSWs, medical assistants and gastroenterologists
• Support patients with both synchronous and asynchronous care, utilizing the core tenets of motivational interviewing to enhance behavioral change
• Adhere to clinical protocols and evidence-based practice guidelines

Requirements

• Licensed RD/RDN
• 2+ years experience as a an RD/RDN
• Working knowledge of nutritional approaches for GI conditions (IBS, IBD, SIBO) a plus
• Bilingual (spanish speaking) a plus
• Must be based in the USA
• Experience communicating with patients asynchronously preferred
• Passion for working with clients to facilitate behavior change by helping them set health goals to effectively manage chronic disease
• Demonstrates a willingness to go above and beyond normal responsibilities to provide the best care possible
• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Experience and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
