Job summary

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian to support skilled care communities. You will conduct onsite visits Monday through Friday during standard business hours, ensuring meals meet high nutritional standards and regulatory requirements.

You will work with clinical teams, provide nutrition education, and mentor dining managers and staff while contributing to policy development and quality care initiatives. The role offers a collaborative environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• CDR credentials required for the RD role.
• Licensed in the state if required for a Registered Dietitian.
• 2 years consulting experience preferred; LTC experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to coach and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Improve residents' nutrition by ensuring meals meet high standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with clinical team to monitor residents' nutritional needs and participate in MDS as needed.
• Provide nutrition education and guidance to dining managers and staff; assist with policy development.
• Monitor implementation of effective nutritional care systems and sanitation best practices.
• Train and mentor dining staff to uphold quality dining services for seniors.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REGISTERED DIETITIAN (RD)

As a Long-Term Care consulting Registered Dietitian, you improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. You work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of the residents. You might be providing nutrition education, working on an MDS with the team, or formulating your nutrition assessment with input from your dining manager. With a commitment to quality, you provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices as well as ensuring regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. You share your dietary expertise by training and providing guidance to dining managers and staff as well as assisting with policy development. It is also your responsibility to monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems. You feel great knowing that your work makes a difference in the lives of the seniors you serve!

QUALIFICATIONS

Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials

Licensed (if required by State)

2 years of consulting experience is preferred, but we will consider many factors. Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required. Can you effectively prioritize multiple tasks? Do you have solid interpersonal and communication skills? Can you represent our company in a professional manner? Do you enjoy coaching and mentoring others? clinical nutrition: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
