Job summary

Pomelo Care is seeking a remote, independent contractor to deliver one-on-one nutritional care via video visits for midlife and menopausal transitions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive care plans and guide patients through multi-week lifestyle programs.

You will provide evidence-based nutrition therapy with emphasis on metabolic, bone, and gut health, while maintaining compliant documentation and confidentiality. Flexible scheduling is supported.

Qualifications

• RD/RDN license in any US state.
• Minimum of 2 years of evidence-based nutrition counseling.
• Commit to at least 10 patient-facing hours per week.
• Comfort with telehealth platforms, video conferencing, and EMR.
• Collaborative mindset for multidisciplinary care.

Job description

As part of the Pomelo network, you will:

• Conduct synchronous video visits to provide one-on-one nutritional care for patients experiencing midlife and menopausal transitions.

• Collaborate within a multi-specialty care team—including the patient’s dedicated medical provider and therapist—to ensure a cohesive, holistic care plan that drives superior patient outcomes.

• Partner with patients over a multi-week program format to facilitate sustainable lifestyle changes, manage symptoms, and enhance overall well-being.

• Provide evidence-based nutrition therapy focusing on metabolic health, body composition changes, bone health, and gut health.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Uphold clinical, privacy, and compliance standards for all visits conducted through the Pomelo platform.

What we’re looking for:

• National certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) with a license to practice in any US state.

  • *Candidates licensed in multiple states are highly encouraged to apply.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing evidence-based nutrition counseling.

• Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours per week.

• Comfort using telehealth platforms, video conferencing, and electronic medical records (EMR).

• Strong clinical independence and exceptional communication skills, with a collaborative mindset for multidisciplinary care.

Preferred Experience (Nice-to-Have):

Experience or strong clinical interest in supporting patients with:

• Conditions of metabolic syndrome

• Weight loss and body composition changes

• Osteopenia/osteoporosis

• Gut health concerns, including bloating, IBS, and elimination diets

• Anti-inflammatory eating patterns

This is a 1099 independent contractor role and is not an employment (W-2) position. As an independent contractor, you will not be eligible for employee benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, workers’ compensation, or unemployment benefits.
