Job summary

DiningRD is seeking a Registered Dietitian for an Assisted Living Community to perform quarterly onsite visits (4 hours per visit) for food safety audits, dining observations, and nutrition referrals. You will work with the clinical team to ensure high nutritional standards and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes coaching dining staff, continuing education, and contributing to policy development within a supportive, inclusive culture. In-person work with flexible scheduling is offered.

Qualifications

• CDR credentials required.
• State license required if applicable for RD.
• 2 years consulting experience preferred; long-term care experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; coaching and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure meals meet high nutritional standards and monitor resident needs.
• Collaborate with clinical team to review nutrition plans and MDS.
• Provide nutrition education and guidance to dining staff.
• Train and mentor dining managers and staff.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REGISTERED DIETITIAN (RD)

As a Long-Term Care consulting Registered Dietitian, you improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. You work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of the residents. You might be providing nutrition education, working on an MDS with the team, or formulating your nutrition assessment with input from your dining manager. With a commitment to quality, you provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices as well as ensuring regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. You share your dietary expertise by training and providing guidance to dining managers and staff as well as assisting with policy development. It is also your responsibility to monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems. You feel great knowing that your work makes a difference in the lives of the seniors you serve!

QUALIFICATIONS

• Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
• Licensed (if required by State)

2 years of consulting experience is preferred, but we will consider many factors. Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required. Can you effectively prioritize multiple tasks? Do you have solid interpersonal and communication skills? Can you represent our company in a professional manner? Do you enjoy coaching and mentoring others? • clinical nutrition: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
