This position pays dependent upon experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Registered Dietitian is responsible for nutrition screening, assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, evaluation, and plan of care of individual residents as per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (“AND”) current scope of practice and applicable facility standards, policies and procedures.
  • The Registered Dietitian completes required nutrition assessments per facility MDS schedule and Section K and other sections as appropriate, along with CAAs as indicated.
  • The Registered Dietitian makes appropriate nutrition recommendations for individual residents that address nutrition problems as identified within the nutrition diagnosis.
  • The Registered Dietitian follows, documents, and revises as appropriate effectiveness of nutrition interventions to ensure intended nutrition outcomes for individual residents.
  • The Registered Dietitian supervises and assists the Dietary Department with food and nutrition program services to ensure resident food safety and satisfaction.
Education

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics ACEND-accredited college or university.

Experience
  • 2 (two) years dietician experience in long-term care strongly preferred, but less experience strongly considered.
  • Experience with MDS data set, PDPM principles and NFPE as required.
  • Proficiency with Point Click Care electronic medical record platform; similar acceptable.
Specific Requirements
  • Registered Dietitian, CDR credential (RD, RDN), active and in good standing, required.
  • Dietetic Licensure (LDN, LD) for the state where the facility is located, active and in good standing, as required.
