Job summary

The Pines at Utica Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Utica, NY invites you to join our team as a Registered Dietitian. You will evaluate nutritional status and implement care plans for our residents, collaborating with the culinary team to provide balanced meals that support health and vitality.

This is a full-time, on-site role with a flexible schedule. Hourly pay ranges from $40 to $50, equivalent to about $83,200–$104,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Active registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Valid and active New York State license
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
• Previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred
• Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
• Interest in the nutrition and health care needs of the aged and the chronically ill, with the ability to work with both
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite, comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents
• Develop and ensure the implementation of individualized nutrition care plans
• Collaborate with onsite interdisciplinary teams to ensure nutritional adequacy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Assist the Food Service Director in managing costs, overseeing food preparation and service, and developing department staffing plans
• Educate residents, families, and staff on nutritional requirements and healthy eating habits
• Monitor and evaluate residents' nutritional status and make necessary adjustments to care plans
