Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to coordinate nutrition care for hospitalized patients and outpatients. You will perform nutrition assessments, care planning, counseling, and monitoring to support positive patient outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include documentation, meal service oversight, and participation in rounds to address patient needs. Requires a Bachelor’s in nutrition and RD licensure with Florida eligibility within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or comparable major.
• Minimum of1 year experience as a Registered Dietitian in an acute care environment OR successful completion of coordinated program or dietetic internship of not less than 900 hours under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian.
• Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) by the Florida Board of Dietetics and Nutrition; Registered dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Candidates eligible for registration may be hired with the understanding that registration will be achieved within 90 days of hire.

• Participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to improve patient outcomes that will positively affect the overall patient experience.
• Contribute to a culture of patient centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join our team! As our Clinical Dietitian, you will coordinate all phases of nutrition care including nutrition assessment, care planning, monitoring, education and counseling of hospitalized patients and outpatients in a variety of settings. You will also perform duties in support of and in compliance with performance improvement plans, JCAHO, and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies. • You will ensure the accurate calculation of nutritional needs based upon individual therapeutic need.
