Job summary

Whittier Health Network is seeking a Registered Dietitian to lead patient nutrition care, develop care plans, and collaborate with clinical teams. The role requires licensure in Massachusetts and registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, with a focus on geriatric and rehabilitation nutrition.

The position includes weekend coverage requirements, potentially one weekend day per month, with a $1000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutritional Sciences.
• Maintain a Massachusetts Dietitian License.
• Maintain registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• At least 2 years of related administrative and clinical experience in a health care facility.
• Geriatric and Rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of patient\'s nutritional care, formulating care plans and overseeing implementation.
• Ensure Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice are followed, and make recommendations to clinical staff.
• Confer with Medical and Nursing Staff regarding patient\'s nutritional status and attend related care conferences.
• Responsible for nutritional assessment, services and discharge planning.
• Assist in developing and implementing Culinary & Nutritional Department CQI activities.
• Provide nutritional counseling and ongoing evaluations.
• Responsible for educational sessions regarding diets and eating habits.
• Demonstrate geriatric and rehabilitation knowledge and skills to patient care.
