Job summary

Whittier Health Network is seeking a Per Diem Dietitian to join the culinary team in Westborough, MA. Hours will scale from July through January to accommodate maternity leave, with weekday coverage 8:00 AM–4:00 PM and rotating weekend shifts.

You will oversee nutritional care plans, ensure standards of practice, coordinate with medical staff, and support CQI activities in the Culinary & Nutritional Department. A strong background in geriatric care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutritional Sciences.
• Massachusetts Dietitian License.
• Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• At least 2 years of related administrative and clinical experience in a health care facility.
• Geriatric and Rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of patient's nutritional care, including formulating nutritional care plans and overseeing their implementation.
• Ensure standards of practice are followed and make recommendations to clinical personnel.
• Confer with Medical and Nursing Staff regarding patient’s nutritional status and attend related patient care conferences.
• Responsible for nutritional assessment, services and discharge planning.
• Assist in developing and implementing the Culinary & Nutritional Department CQI activities.
• Provide nutritional counseling and ongoing evaluations.
• Responsible for educational sessions regarding diets and eating habits.
• Demonstrate geriatric and rehabilitation knowledge and skills to patient care.
