Job summary

Prisma Health in Columbia, SC is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition care and education to patients and caregivers. You will evaluate nutritional status, develop care plans, and communicate with physicians and healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• Education - Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Experience - No previous experience required
• In Lieu Of - If hired on or prior to December 31, 2023, must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics AND Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses - Registered Dietitian state licensure (i.e.: SC LLR) and licensure from the CDR

• Coordinates, reviews, plans, updates, and implements medical nutrition therapy to patients according to established policies and procedures.
• Monitors patients receiving nutrition support.
• Provide nutrition education to patients, caregivers, staff and community partners.
• Serves as a preceptor for medical, dietetic and food service interns and/or clinical research.
• Participates and serves on interdisciplinary team meetings, patient rounds, multidisciplinary committees and/or discharge planning.
• Assist with performance and quality improvement projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
