Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with active registration (CDR).
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nutrition experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments and follow-ups per facility policy.
• Provide nutrition education on general nutrition and weight management.
• Communicate changes in nutrition status to nursing/physician teams.
• Document assessments and interventions in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families on nutritional needs as indicated.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings as assigned.
• Adhere to facility policies including confidentiality and patient rights.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Join our dynamic team at RD Nutrition Consultants LLC, a leading Dietitian Nutritionist Consulting firm providing expert services to healthcare facilities nationwide. We are currently looking for a passionate Registered Dietitian to be a part of our growing team for a part-time position in the area.

Schedule: Flexible, Monday-Friday during normal business hours.

Hours: 16-24 hours per week (50% remote)

Compensation: $40.00-$45.00 per hour, based on experience.

At least 1 year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes nutritional assessment and follow ups, using evidence-based practice, according to the facility's policy.
• Nutrition education focused intervention focusing on general nutrition and some weight loss/gain.
• Informs nursing and physician of changes in a patient's nutritional status.
• Document assessments of patients with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record.
• Provide education to the patients and/or family members on nutritional needs as indicated.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings as assigned.
• Adhere to all facility’s policies and procedures including confidentiality and patient’s rights.
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Candidates must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration

• Experience providing general nutrition interventions (i.e. weight loss, weight gain, food intolerances, etc.)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience with electronic charting systems
