This is a part-time role. A caregiver in this position works a shared weekend rotation, 1 weekend per month or every 5 weeks. These weekend (Saturday/Sunday) requirements will be Holidays will be on-call only and be rotated.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy,educationand counseling to patients.
Implement nutritional care plans, communicate plans,establisha follow-upsystemandmaintaindocumentation.
Write changes for diet orders,initiatenutrient intake assessments, assess patients for nutritional deficiencies, evaluate fluids andelectrolytesandreview laboratory and clinical progress notes.
Inform physicians of patientnutritional status andneed for diet changes.
Create and revise education materials,participatein program development and develop,implementand market services.
Support the dietetic internship program as a supervised practice rotation preceptor and class instructor.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’sDegree inNutrition,Dieteticsor a related field
Currentlicensure as aLicensed Dietitian (LD)
Active certification as a RegisteredDietitian(RD)
