Job summary

Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior is seeking a qualified Dietitian to assess patients, develop personalized nutrition plans, and provide MNT in collaboration with medical staff. Arabic-speaking candidates are strongly preferred to support our diverse patient base.

The role involves comprehensive nutrition assessments, education on meal planning and carbohydrate counting, and coordination with endocrinology and diabetes teams to optimize health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required.
• State licensure or certification as required.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, ideally in endocrinology, diabetes care, or internal medicine.
• Fluency in Arabic strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients with endocrine and metabolic conditions.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based nutrition care plans tailored to patient diagnoses, lab results, cultural preferences, and language needs.
• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to patients in accordance with physician treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on meal planning, carbohydrate counting, glycemic index, label reading, portion control, and healthy cooking techniques.
• Monitor patient progress, track clinical outcomes, and revise plans as necessary to optimize metabolic control and health status.
• Collaborate with endocrinologists, diabetes educators, nurses, and other health professionals to ensure integrated and consistent care.
• Participate in case discussions, care planning meetings, and follow-up consultations.
• Contribute to the development of educational resources and nutrition protocols for endocrine conditions.
