AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL, is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to perform nutrition-focused assessments and interventions within a clinical setting.

The role requires a Bachelor's in nutrition, 10+ clinical experience, and an active RDN credential, with Master’s preferred. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a faith-based health system.

Responsibilities

• Completes nutrition-focused physical assessments, takes measurements, reviews medical records, collects data via interviews, and evaluates anthropometric status.
• Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks and problems, high-risk behaviors, and knowledge deficits.
• Offers nutrition interventions, orders, education, counseling, and referrals to other services.
• May place feeding tubes or perform indirect calorimetry studies.
• Provides counseling using evidence-based approaches reflecting health literacy and cultural sensitivity.
• Monitors and evaluates nutrition care plans to reach goals.

Job Description

• Completes nutrition-focused physical assessments, takes measurements, reviews medical records, collects data via interviews, and evaluates anthropometric status.
• Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks, nutrition problems, criteria consistent with malnutrition, knowledge deficits, and high-risk health behaviors.
• Offers nutrition interventions, orders, education, counseling, and referrals to other services.
• May place feeding tubes or perform indirect calorimetry studies.
• Provides counseling and education using evidence-based techniques that reflect appropriate health literacy and cultural sensitivity to patients with disease processes requiring nutritional management.
• Monitors and evaluates nutrition care plans to reach nutrition goals and promote optimal outcomes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

• Field of Study: Bachelor's degree in nutrition or nutrition related field

Pay Range
