Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Registered Dietitian I to provide nutrition care, counseling, and education to patients to support recovery and well-being. You will work with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, case managers, and other team members in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Dietetics and an RDN credential, with strong communication skills and proficiency in EHR systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food and Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, or a related field.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments from medical records and patient interviews.
Develop, implement, monitor, and document individualized nutrition care plans.
Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy, nutrition education, and referrals.
Monitor patient progress and modify nutrition interventions as needed.
Document nutrition activities in the EHR.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on patient care.
